Young Adventurers add spice to everyday life!
The new Young Adventurers Plate series is dedicated to children of all ages and the creativity of their play in the pursuit of having fun. A favorite pastime of dare-devils everywhere, "Parachuting" has been chosen to fill an afternoon by our first Young Adventurer. The family's little girl is preparing for a jump from the edge of the roof - but wisely sends teddy out first on a "trial run".
Artist Sven Vestergaard has created this year's motif, which is executed in relief and hand-decorated under the glaze by a craftsman from Royal Copenhagen. "Parachuting" is the first edition in this new annual collector's series.
The Young Adventurers Plate will be issued each year in a strictly limited number. Each plate is elegantly gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.
Sven Vestergaard. Born in 1932. Sven Vestergaard virtually grew up with porcelain art. At age 16 he was apprenticed to Royal Copenhagen as a porcelain painter, and soon proved himself to be a talented student with a great understanding of both medium and motif.
