Patience is a point of honor! |
Georg Jensen originally trained as a sculptor at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, but he soon fell in love with silver, which he thought had this "lovely moonlight glow". After finishing his training as a silversmith, he opened his first silversmith's workshop in Copenhagen 1904.

The Georg Jensen Christmas Ornament tradition started in 1984 when Eigil Jensen created the first edition - a Christmas Bell. Every year since then a well known Danish designer has been invited to add his or her creation to this living collection. It is indeed a living tradition since all the previous ornaments are still available. These much loved decorations are produced with a 24 karat tarnish free gold finish and each one comes with own presentation case.
