The Grandparents Plate series draws inspiration from the special relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. "Going Fishing" is the title of this year's first edition motif. Can you remember your first fishing trip? With live bait and a heart full of anticipation? Grandpa and grandchild will share a picnic basket and one of life's greatest lessons - "patience is a virtue"! Sven Vestergaard is the artist behind this year's motif. Executed in relief, each plate is hand-decorated under the glaze by a craftsman from Royal Copenhagen. Each plate is gift boxed complete with a certificate of authenticity.
