The American Heritage Collection
The Chicago Water Tower

The third edition of the American Heritage Collection features one of Chicago's most famous landmarks, the old Chicago Water Tower designed by W.W. Boyington. It was built as a pumping station in 1869, and one of very few buildings to survive the great fire of 1871.

Today, the Water Tower is used as a tourist center and is dwarfed by the Skyscrapers of Michigan Avenue.

The historic building has been beautifully depicted by American artist Christopher Magadini. The design is in basrelief and hand-decorated underglaze. Each plate is individually numbered, handsomely gift boxed and only available in the USA!
